Junior 7s international rugby tournament postponed one year to 11-14 February 2022

There will be no Junior 7s in 2021.

Sports Ventures has recently decided to postpone the 2021 Lisbon Junior 7s International Weekend for a full year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 3rd Junior 7s will now be held in the weekend 11-14 February of 2022.

“Based on the current situation with COVID-19 and the inability to secure event permits for the postponed date, we could not proceed with running the event this year,” José Moraes, the event’s manager, said. “It is a huge disappointment, but this is necessary for the health and safety of all involved. The pandemic has deeply impacted planning to the tournament organization and participating teams and will not allow us to run a quality event and protect our players, staff and volunteers who have made the event so successful in the past two editions.”

Sports Ventures will be reaching out to all to teams to confirm options and roll over registrations to the 2022 Junior 7s tournament.
