The Orquídeas Negras is a foundation from Venezuela born to help young rugby players in the country. This will be the 6th international tour that Orquideas Negras attend to take part in a international sevens tournament. Orquídeas Negras will be entering in the Algarve 7s with two (2) men´s squads competiting in the Open Competition. Most of the players in the team are Venezuelans who play and compete in Europe plus some players coming from Venezuela to join the team and get to enjoy the Algarve Sevens in the Sun. Considering the current political and economic problems that Venezuela is facing the Algarve 7s management team couldn´t be happier to have a group representing the country showing that sport and rugby in particular is an excellent tool to promote the values of friendship and solidarity and we are looking forward to host our Venezuelan friends in the Algarve.The 08th & 09th of June in the Algarve will be a weekend full of TOP SEVENS RUGBY, SUN and… PARTYING!
