Durham University Women´s Sevens are coming to Algarve 7s, are you?

This is the second time in a row that DUWRFC will be attending the tournament after last years presence in the inaugural Algarve 7s edition. Durham University RFC is the largest university women’s rugby programme in the UK and is proud in its commitment to academic achievement and rugby excellence, providing students with top class degrees as well as elite rugby training. DUWRFC boasts over 80 members, spread across 1st XV, 2nd XV and 3rd XV teams in the Northern Prem, Northern 3A and Northern 4B respectively. DUWRFC was founded 35 years ago by Cameron Henderson, who still leads the club and the rich history of rugby excellence has fostered international talent in both 15s and 7s. Alumni and currently students such as Heather Kerr, Sophie Lee, Megan Ellery, Claudia Macdonald, Beth Blacklock and Caitlin Sedgeworth have all been involved with their national programme.
