Loyolla University Lacrosse Tour of Europe

Loyola University Maryland men’s lacrosse recently visited Europe touring one of the oldest countries on the continent, Portugal. Loyola spent the first part of the trip in the capital city of Lisbon before heading south on the Iberian Peninsula to the Algarve region. During the first two days, the Greyhounds toured Old Town Lisbon and the surrounding area before taking a hike through Sintra where the forested grounds surround the Palacio Nacional da Pena (National Palace of Pena).

Loyolla Lacrosse tour of Portugal included playing several games vs an English Select Team, attending amazing sightseeing and immersion into the local Portugal culture. While in Portugal the team had the opportunity to watch a Fado performance,  taking surfing lessons and visiting the beautiful area of Lagos where they took part in a kayak tour with cliffs, caves, snorkeling and the most beautiful beaches in Europe.
