We are delighted to inform that Sports Ventures as become the official local agency partner for the next edition of the World Medical & Health Games to be held from the 13^th to the 19^th of June 2020 in Vila Real de Santo António, in eastern Algarve, Portugal.

The World Medical and Health Games have become the most famous world health event open to members of the medical and health professions since its inception in 1978. The World Medical and Health Games are an opportunity for participants of all levels to compete together and to play their favorite sports in a superb atmosphere of friendship and excitement. Each year more than 2,000 people take part in this fantastic sporting and professional gathering, all in the spirit of the Olympics, for the beauty of sport and the benefit of effort.

The next edition of the World Medical and Health Games to held in the Algarve, will feature more than 20 sports events, competitions in 06 different age categories and will have participants coming from over 70 countries.

Sports Ventures is committed to continuing to use our considerable expertise in attracting large scale events such as the Medigames to our country and helping position Portugal, and in particular the region of the Algarve, as the best European sports tourism destination. With over 2000 participants travelling to the Algarve in June, the event represents a direct impact in the local economy of 12.000 hotel nights and 1.5M Euros in ground services contracted. The Sports Ventures scope of work includes hotel contracts and reservations, transportation and logistics, all sports disciplines event management, social side events organization, entertainment and support staff management. Sports Ventures would like to thank the Vila Real de Santo António municipality and their Mayor Dra. Conceição Cabrita for the great support and effort to secure this event in Portugal and the Algarve Tourism Board for helping put everything together, making sure this will be the best Medigames edition ever.”
