North Texas University Mens Basketball team getting ready for their 10 days tour of Italy.
The Mean Green men’s basketball team is ten days away from its nine-day trip to Italy where they will play up to three games against professional teams and will travel to three cities. The Mean Green leave for Rome on August 12 and will stay in the capital city for three full days and play up to two games in Rome’s landmark arena Altero Felici, which is home to Stella Azzurra and to many other Italian Basketball Federation games.
The next day, the Mean Green will head to Florence where they will also spend three days and play an Italian all-star team at Palazzetto Delle Sport on the final day. UNT will conclude the trip with two full days in Cavallino, which is a commune in Venice.
There, the Mean Green will play their final game of the trip at the Dario and Federica Stefani Gym.
Along with playing games, North Texas will of course take advantage of visiting one of the most historic and cultural rich countries in the world. Everyday, the team has a jam packed schedule that includes tours of the Vatican City, the Colosseum, visiting museums, a boat tour of Venice as well as much more.
